DevMesh took second place at India Builds with Claude, a builder showcase run by Anthropic with Razorpay and Peak XV Partners. More than two thousand three hundred people applied, one hundred and fifty builders took part, six teams demoed on stage, and the winners were decided by an audience vote. Placing second in that room means something, because it was a room of people shipping with AI, not talking about it.
We presented DevMesh as exactly what it is: a hiring tool for AI-native teams. Companies want their engineers to use AI, and they have no good way to test them on it. That is the whole pitch, and it landed with an audience who feels the problem first-hand.
The company we kept
The other demos were a good map of where Indian building is heading. First place went to a smart dog collar that classifies a dog's activity in real time, built by someone with no hardware background. Third went to a proof layer for AI agents, tackling how you verify what an agent actually did once it starts acting on your behalf. Good company to place among.
The talent is here and the ambition is here. These are the products that get built when both show up in the same room.

Thanks to Anthropic, Razorpay, and Peak XV Partners for the stage, and to everyone who voted. Second place is a good day. The work continues.
