DevMesh is live: hire the AI-native engineer
Technical hiring still screens for a skill from 2016. DevMesh is our answer, an assessment built for how the best engineers actually work now. It is in public beta, and it assessed more than a hundred candidates in its first hour.

Every company now wants engineers who can build with AI. Almost none of them can test for it. DevMesh is our answer, and it is now in public beta: an assessment platform built for the AI-native engineer, because how we hire has not kept up with how the work is done.
For twenty years the technical screen has optimized for one signal, data-structures-and-algorithms puzzles solved from memory. Reverse a linked list, balance a tree, find the cycle. Those questions endured because they were cheap to ask and easy to grade. They no longer measure the thing that separates a strong engineer from a weak one.
What the modern job actually involves
An AI-native engineer spends less of the day typing an implementation and more of it deciding what to build, directing a model toward it, and verifying that what comes back is correct. Architecture under ambiguity, prompting with intent, reading generated code critically, knowing when the output is quietly wrong. None of that shows up on a whiteboard question about pointers.
So we built DevMesh from the ground up to sample the real work. It puts a candidate in front of a task that resembles the job, lets them work the way they actually work, and scores the result and the reasoning behind it rather than whether they reproduced an algorithm they will never write by hand again. The workspace is what makes that possible: a live code editor with a knowledge-base assistant beside it.
The world is racing to hire AI engineers. Almost nobody can say what a good one looks like. That is a measurement problem, and it is the one we are here to solve.

The beta is open and the first cohorts are already running, with more than a hundred candidates assessed in the opening hour. If you are hiring for AI-native teams, this is the signal you have been missing.
